Grilling Safety from Etler-Kettenacker Agency

Etler-Kettenacker Agency wishes everyone a safe and enjoyable 4th of July and grilling season!  EK Agency wants to share a few grilling safety tips to ensure that you, your loved ones and home stay safe while grilling.  Check out the full page at http://www.ekagency.com/grilling/safety.aspx for grilling safety statistics and additional grilling safety tips.

The following are three key grilling safety tips.  Please see the full page on grilling safety for the complete list of grilling safety tips.  Please keep these three key safety tips in mind:

  • Never leave your grill or barbecue unattended.  You can prevent a grilling fire from occurring by simply keeping an eye on the grill.
  • Choose the right location for grilling activities.  It is important to keep children and pets away from the grill while in use.  Grilling away from flammable items such as dry leaves and wood is imperative.  Always grill outside and never inside your home, garage or tent.
  • Be prepared to put out a file.  Having a fire extinguisher handy and knowing how to use it is an excellent tool in preventing small fires from grilling from getting out of control.  Fire extinguishers can be purchased for as little as $30 and are well worth the investment.

Etler-Kettenacker Agency again, wishes you a happy and safe grilling season!  If you have any questions for your EK Agency representatives feel free to call or contact them for a quick response.  Happy 4th of July!
