Etler-Kettenacker Agency’s Year in Review

Over the past year Etler-Kettenacker Agency has posted weekly blogs about important insurance issues, insurance products and tips for keep you, your family and home safe.  This week EK Agency is highlighting some of last year’s highlights in this week’s Etler-Kettenacker Agency’s Year in Review.  The following tips, products or suggestions are ones we would like to keep in mind as you and your family begin a new year.

During the months of September and October EK Agency posted articles and blogs that coincide with the Life Insurance Awareness Month (LIAM) theme.  One particular page, “Human Life Value” talks candidly about how much your life is worth and how much your spouse’s life is worth.  This page is an important eye-opener for many people.  The “Human Life Value” page gives three examples of how uninsured and underinsured lives can cause hardships for the loved ones you leave behind.  Your employer sponsored life insurance plan is most likely not enough to ensure your family is taken care of.  For the full “Human Life Value” page visit http://www.ekagency.com/human_life/value.aspx.

In August, EK Agency introduced NSI to its commercial clients and friends.  NSI is owned by West Bend Mutual Insurance Company and caters to very specific commercial businesses.  NSI offers excellent coverages at very competitive rates for these specific niche commercial clients.  Some example of the niche markets are; Fire Protection Contractors, Outdoor Activities businesses, Sports and Leisure and Contract Bonds.  These are just a few specialty commercial niche markets insured by NSI.  You can visit Etler-Kettenacker Agency’s Blog for more information on niche commercial markets offered by NSI.

Etler-Kettenacker Agency’s Year in Review also included an article called “Properly Insure Your Jewels.”  This article’s purpose was to educate EK Agency’s clients, friends and readers about having your valued jewelry reappraised to ensure you have the right amount of coverage.  This article was prompted by the dramatic increase in the value of gold, silver and diamonds.  Standard homeowners policies provide $1,000 in coverage for lost or stolen jewelry.  In many cases your jewelry exceeds this $1,000 limit.  You may schedule priceless, sentimental or expensive pieces to ensure complete coverage.  To visit the page “Properly Insure Your Jewels” go to http://www.ekagency.com/properly_insure/your_jewels.aspx.

The final highlight in Etler-Kettenacker Agency’s Year in Review is “Home Electrical Maintenance.”  Your home’s electrical system often goes unchecked or updated because many don’t think about it.  It’s more likely that hot water heaters, dishwashers and HVAC systems are most often maintained or updated.  It is important to ensure that your electrical box is free from dust, cob webs is a simple way to maintain your electrical panel.  It is also imperative to keep boxes or other storage items clear of the electrical panel.  Your panel requires a free flow of air to keep the panel cool.  For more information on how to maintain your home’s electrical system visit the full article; http://www.ekagency.com/home_electrical/maintenance.aspx.

The New Year has started and many of you are planning and looking forward to life changes this year.  Please keep your insurance coverage in mind when you encounter a life change.  If you are unsure of your coverage or if you have the proper amount of coverage feel free to contact any one of EK Agency’s knowledgeable representatives to discuss your coverage and how to best insure you, you’re loved ones and your belongings.
